Capita che ti ritrovi, nella stessa settimana, ad alzarti alle quattro con ancora il buio pesto, fare un rapido giro del mondo con destinazione finale Turchia (i collegamenti aerei da Firenze direi che non eccellono), trascorrere tre giorni di fuoco a Istanbul rinchiusa in ufficio o in hotel, lavorando fino a notte fonda (quindi no, non aspettatevi nessun post sulla movida del Bosforo, al massimo potrei parlarvi del servizio in camera...), affrontare un altro viaggio della speranza (con tanto di corse disperate tra i tremila terminal di Francoforte per non perdere la coincidenza)....per poi finalmente atterrare a Milano per l'annuale appuntamento con il Fuorisalone.
Più morta che viva, a dir la verità, ma alla Design Week non dico mai di no.

Delle mie scoperte del weekend milanese ve ne parlo in altri post (vi preannuncio già però un nuovo ristorante milanese da provare il prima possibile e una bella sfilza di mostre cittadine perfette per i weekend primaverili). Per ora, giusto perché sono un po' anche fashion blogger, una breve lezione sul tema "come affrontare un intero weekend con lo stesso trolley (da cabina!) in cui hai dovuto infilare cinque giorni di business outfits".
Non ci credevo nemmeno io, ma ci sono riuscita. E ne vado immensamente fiera.
E' bastato scegliere un colore principale (il rosso, che a me fa sempre tanto primavera, che ci posso fare), declinato su borsa e giacca in pelle, un paio di scarpe comode come le mie nuove Adidas Superstar (no, non ho preso le Supercolor intenzionalmente...sono del pensiero che "i grandi classici non deludono mai") e poi alcuni pezzi molto semplici e intercambiabili: felpa grigia e gonna lunga nera il primo giorno, cropped pants neri e maglia a righe il secondo.
Niente di meglio per due giorni di tour de force tra mostre, stand e camminate infinite per mezza Milano, senza perdere quel tocco hipster/fashion che, dai, alla design week ci sta sempre bene, no?

It may happen that, in the same week, you have to wake up at 4 a.m. with dark in the night, do a quick world trip with final destination Turkey (I would say air connections from Florence are not that excellent), spend three days of fire in Istanbul, closed in the office or in your hotel room, working till late at night (hence, no, don't expect any post on Bosforus' nightlife, I could just tell you about the room service...), face another hopeless trip (with a desperate run throughout the thousands of terminals of Frankfurt airport not to loose the connecting flight)...and then finally land in Milan for the yearly appointment with Fuorisalone.
More dead than alive, to be honest, but I never say no to Design Week.
I will very soon tell you about my discoveries from the weekend in Milan (I can just give you advance notice of a new milanese restaurant to try as soon as possible and many city exhibitions that are perfect for next spring weekends). For the moment, just because I'm also a fashion blogger, a brief lesson on the theme "how to face a whole weekend with the same (cabine!) trolley where you had to put five days of business outfits"
I didn't expect to succeed, actually, but I did. And I'm immensely proud of it.
I just had to choose a mainstream colour (red, that always recalls me springtime), transposed on bag and leather jacket, a pair of comfortable sneakers, such as my new Adidas Superstar (no, I didn't intentionally buy the Supercolor ones..."big classics are always the best) and then some other very simple and interchangeable garments: grey sweatshirt and black long skirt for the first day, cropped pants and striped sweather for the second one.
Nothing better for a two days tour de force among exhibitions, stands and endless walks through half Milan, without loosing that touch hipster/fashion that, come on, always fits well at Design Week, doens't it?
