Capita che devi andare per lavoro in giornata a Firenze ("store check" si chiama..che altro non è che staccare il naso dal pc, visitare qualche punto vendita e capire un po' come va il mondo fuori dall'ufficio). Capita che questo accada proprio durante il Pitti. Va da sè che decidi di fare l'ennesima valigia e unirci anche due serate nel capoluogo toscano, giusto per non farti mancare nulla. Non fa una piega, vero?!
Ed è così che mi sono goduta questa trasferta infrasettimanale fiorentina, una due giorni di eventi e amici, condita da:
- gala dinner organizzato da Evolve all'Hotel Il Salviatino, villa sulle colline fiorentine e una vista pienamente degna delle 5 stelle che vanta. Assolutamente all'altezza anche la cena con tavoli allestiti in biblioteca, circondati da pareti ricoperte di centinaia di libri (la cultura mi affascina sempre,anche in questi frangenti!), e il dopocena in veranda, con vista mozzafiato su una Firenze notturna illuminata a festa.
- passeggiata notturna a Ponte Vecchio per ammirare la nuova illuminazione sponsorizzata da Stefano Ricci, deciso a rendere questo angolo iconico della sua città ancora più suggestivo.
- conclusione al Downstairs, indirizzo super selettivo per il popolo della notte fiorentino (che poi, a entrarci, ti chiedi se sei davvero a Firenze o al Silencio di Parigi...): niente male per essere un "tranquillo" lunedì sera!
- pranzo modaiolo ( tra uno "store check" e l'altro) al Museo Gucci: insalatina e tagliata di frutta con vista su Piazza della Signoria e a seguire visita ai tre piani del museo. Esposizione temporanea "Femminilità Radicale" con opere della Pinault Collection e poi i grandi classici che hanno fatto la storia del brand. Lo so, ho sempre detto che odio i loghi e le GG prima di tutto, e qui lo confermo, ma qualche iconica Jackie O' e il favoloso abito indossato da Blake Lively per la campagna di Gucci Première valgono da soli la visita!
(Sempre per restare in tema moda non sono riuscita a inserire nella mia agenda fiorentina anche "Equilibrium", mostra allestita al Museo Ferragamo e inaugurata proprio il 18 giugno. Poco male, c'è tempo per visitarla: una scusa in più per tornare a Firenze)
- inaugurazione dell'esposizione "Il Giardino Incantato", voluta da Braccialini per celebrare il 60o anniversario della casa di moda. Un aperitivo per ammirare le iconiche borse a forma di cerbiatto, violino, carrozza, lumaca etc etc nel suggestivo contesto di Museo Marino Marini, per l'occasione addobbato con quintali di "verde" a simulare il suddetto giardino incantato.
- festa della rivista Firenze Made in Tuscany a Palazzo Tornabuoni. Setting che più fiorentino di così non si poteva e sempre e indubbiamente affascinante. Ma la vera differenza (almeno per il mio palato) l'ha fatta il catering firmato La Durée: piramidi di macarons in ogni angolo e coppe di gelato al caramello con macarons glacés: inutile dire che quella della foto è stata sola la prima di una luuuuunga serie!
- una signora cena da Gargani, classica meta - mi dicono gli autoctoni- quando si parla di trattorie fiorentine. Ecco, ammetto che il mio appetito era già stato messo a dura prova dai suddetti macarons, e non ero esattemente pronta a divorarmi un filetto, ma i piatti sono stati approvati anche dai miei commensali, sicuramente ben più affamati di me! Io mi posso sicuramente esprimere sull'ambiente, colorato semplice e accogliente: proprio come piace a me. E sì, belli, divertenti gli happening mondani, ma i momenti migliori restano quelli più semplici, in compagnia degli amici, non mi stancherò mai di dirlo!
- altra "tranquilla" conclusione di serata alle Pavoniere, con festa in piscina di Rifle e dj set di Craig David. Sempre bravo, sempre figo, ma...qualcuno mi spiega come mai a me negli ultimi quindici anni sono spuntate un'infinità di rughe e lui sempre uguale, manco una zampetta di gallina in più?!?!
Insomma, altro tour de force dei miei (che mi ci è voluto un intero weekend di sonno al mare per recuperare), ma tanti altri nuovi indirizzi da aggiungere ai miei appunti di viaggio fiorentini.

It happens that, for your job, you have to go to Florence (it's called "store check"..and it's nothing else than taking your nose off your laptop, going and visiting some points of sales and getting how the world is going on outside the office). It also happens this takes place right during Pitti.
Obviously, then, you choose to pack the nth luggage of the month ad add two nights in the Tuscany center, just not to miss anything. It does make sense, doesn't it?!
That's why I enjoyed a mid-week Florentine trip, a couple of days of events and friends, garnished with:
- gala dinner held by Evolve at Hotel Il Salviatino, villa on the Florentine hills with a view totally worthy the 5 stars it's proud of. Absolutely up to the expectations the dinner with tables set in the library, surrounded by walls
covered with plenty of books (culture always fascinates me, also in this situations!) and the after-dinner cocktails in the veranda, with a breathtaking view on the lights of Florence by night.
- night walk at Ponte Vecchio to watch its new lighting system, sponsored by Stefano Ricci, intentioned to make this iconic spot of his city even more suggestive.
- ending at Downstairs, super selective address for the people of the night in Florence ( I would also add that when you enter you wonder if you are still in Florence or at Silencio in Paris...): not bad to be a "quiet" Monday night!
- fashionable lunch (between a "store check" and another) at Museo Gucci: salad bowl and fruit plate with a view on Piazza della Signoria and then a visit to the three floors of the museum. Temporary exhibition "Femminilità Radicale" with masterpieces from the Pinault Collection and then the big classics that made the story of the brand. I know, I've always said I hate logos and GGs first of all, and I confirm it here, but some iconic Jackie O' baga and the amazing dress Blake Lively wore for the Gucci Première campaign are really worth the visit!
(Still regarding fashion, I missed Equilibrium, the exposition at Museo Ferragamo that opened on the 18th. Not a big deal: there's time left to visit it: anoter excuse to go back to Florence)
- opening of "Il Giardino Incantato", exposition wanted by Braccialini to celebrate to 60th anniversary of the fashion brand. A cocktail among the iconic bags shaped as fawn, violin, carriage, snail, etc in the pictoresque context of Museo Marino Marini, dressed in "green" for the occasion, to simulate the above-mentioned enchanted garden.
- party of the magazine Firenze Made in Tuscany at Palazzo Tornabuoni. Super typical Florentine setting, undoubtedly always fascinating. But the real difference (at least for my taste) was the catering, signed by La Durée: pyramids of macarons in every corner and icecream cups with macarons glacés: I don't need to say that the one in the picture was just the first of a long long series!!
- a great dinner at Gargani, classical destination - locals told me- when you talk about Florentine restaurants. Well, I admit my appetite had already been prooved by the above mentioned macarons, and I wasn't exactly ready to devour a steak, but the dishes were approved also by my tablemates, surely way more hungry than me! I can of course express my opinion on the location, coloured, simple, cozy: right the way I like it. And yes, the glamourous happenings are interesting, amusing, but best moments are always the simple ones, with friends, I will never get tired of sayig that!
- another "quiet" ending at Le Pavoniere, with Rifle pool party and dj set by Craig David. Always good, always hot..I just have one question: could someone please explain me why in the last 15 years hundreds of wrinkles have appeared on my face, while he's still exactly the same, not even a single crow's foot more?!?
Hence, another tour de force of mine (I needed a whole sleeping weekend at the seaside to recover), but many new addresses to add to my travel tips about Florence.
